The School of Accounting dates back to 1952 when its forerunner - the Department of Financial Accounting was founded. Our school started to recruit undergraduate students in 1958, and closed down during the period of “Culture Revolution”. The School of Accounting was reestablished in the year 1979. Now the school is running 4 undergraduate majors – Accounting, Financial Management, Auditing and Asset Evaluation. The major of Accounting was acknowledged as a provincial key discipline by the Educational Bureau of Shandong Province in 1991, and confirmed as the first batch of provincial key discipline of Shandong Province in 2002. The school was entitled to grant the Master Degree of Accounting in 1993. The school was affirmed the first batch of provincial experimental major for education reform.

  There are 120 students in the master program, 2860 in the undergraduate program, and 540 in the associate degree program. The School of Accounting has trained a host of excellent professional finance, accounting and auditing talents for the socialist construction.

  Now the school is composed of 7 teaching and research sections (Foundation of Accounting, Financial Accounting, Financial Management, Cost and Management Accounting, Auditing, Network Accounting, and Asset Evaluation) and 4 research institutes. And the School has also set up Computer Application Center as well as modern classrooms and laboratories with hi-tech equipment providing a good environment for teaching and research.

  We have 78 full-time teaching staff, among which 15 are professors, 22 are associate professors, 15 are PhDs, 12 are PhD candidates, and 4 have overseas education experience. Our school is a well-structured team with strong and comprehensive teaching and research forces.

  Our guiding principle is to set up a well-established talent development system and form its own characteristics in the areas of education, research, academic construction and other aspects, with its distinguished overall advantages in the fields of accounting. The aim of our School is to keep its leading place in the field of accounting research and education in Shandong Province and to keep up with the pace of the first-rate famous schools in our country.
