| Educational Aims
To introduce students a quiet different orientation than conventional college courses, i.e., law and economics. It also aims to help students review traditional academic opinions critically in aspect of law and economics. The topic includes introduction, an introduction to price theory, terms and controversies in law and economics, the Coase Theorem and related property issues, contract law applications, economics of tort law, economic analysis of criminal law, the economics of antitrust, the economics of government regulation, and public choice.
Expected Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this topic students will be able to:

Syllabus
The course consists of an introduction to basic concepts and techniques in law and economics, and a study of the application of economic analysis in a number of related areas. The prior study of economics is not a requirement of the course. Seminar topics may be chosen either from the general theoretical material considered at the start of the course, or from one of the more specific areas. The focus of the course will be more oriented towards contract law and tort law. |
